August in Review

The Neptunes followed the torrid July with a cooler but still successful August. Going 17-14 on the month, Amsterdam maintained a slim lead in the Eastern Conference. The Neptunes found a way to beat the Brussels Eagles in 4 out of 5 head to head matchups, contributing to their holding the conference lead. On the month, the pitching was really the star for the team.

The game of the month came on 25 August as the Neptunes visited the Brussels Eagles. In a rare (for this month) slugfest, the Neptunes knocked 5 home runs and 4 doubles as they outscored the Eagles 10-5. The player of the game was DH Edgardo Jaso]Edgardo Jaso[/url]
