Sim #8 Review
The Amsterdam Neptunes may have been enjoying the night life a little too much recently as they were swept by Madrid and then lost two of three to Belfast. Now 3-7 over their last 10 games they are 6.5 behind the Brussels Eagles who are 7-3 over their last 10. The Rome Raiders have taken over second place in the Eastern Alliance though they are still 5.5 games behind Brussels. Over in the Western Alliance, the division race remains tight at the top. Belfast leads with a record of 38-31 with Madrid (35-31) 1.5 GB and London (34-32) 2.5 games out.
Schedule Review
Amsterdam posted a record of 2-6 from 11/6/25 through 20/6/25. They began the sim by losing 4 consecutive 1-run games, the first against Munchen, the next three while being swept by the Madrid Matadors and the first game of the Belfast series for good measure. Finishing the sim on a higher note, the Neptunes beat Belfast 4-2 in the final game of the series and then won the first game at London 4-3.
Looking Forward
This next sim will likely be the make or break for Amsterdam's season. They will wrap up the 3 game set against the Bishops then travel back home for a quick 2 game set against the Eastern Alliance leading Eagles. Though it is only two games, it will be the last head to head series against Brussels until 28/7/25, after the all star break. A two game sweep followed by a winning series against Paris, and the Neptunes could find themselves in the thick of the pennant race leading up to the all star game. Otherwise, it will likely be time to decide which assets to move and which assets will be part of the next winning season, be it 2026 or beyond.
