2025 WK 01 - Roman Weekly Review

Changes: Main addition was the hiring of assistant GM Delmonico Anderson for one year. Anderson comes from Des Moines in the MBBA. The hope is that the Assistant GM role in the EBA will be a better fit for him as he looks to improve his record with the Raiders.

Pitching: Veteran DeVos Gabbier pitched the best for the Raiders in the third game of the series. Giving up six hits and four runs, he finished his 7 innings with a 1.14 WHIP and collecting the win.

Hitting: Another veteran, 35 year old Mal Banks, provided the most consistent offense, hitting .364/.462/.545 through three games. Tommy Bender also hit above .300 through 18 at bats, although he also struck out a third of the time.

Summary: The Raiders started the year with a homestead against against the Paris Patriots. Through the preseason, the Patriots had their way with the Raiders, so overall, starting the season with 2 wins and 2 losses were an okay start for Rome.
