Figured you would with such an empty roster and all that money. I just figured I'd make a go at it. What do you think of the contract? His con is "only" a right handed 8 but his BB of 5 bother me a bit. He looks a cut below elite hitter status to me. And since Cal is so damn had to hit in, I was worried. Should be pretty solid though.

The one that really worries me is Wellington. I desperately needed a 2B and though about throwing a boatload of cash at a young guy who is a 4.5 star talent. But he's 26 and still missing contact? He's currently 6/7/7/4/5 against righties. Anyway, if I ran you up for no good reason Avery, sorry.

Ted, I'll send you my comments on Wellington by PM. As for Burgos, that's a darn good contract if you ask me.

I don't have high hopes for Wellington offensively, but a 90-ish OPS+ with a +10 ZR at 2B is still a solid player.

Just more talent to add to the team at this point. We'll see how he shakes out. Looks like a solid middle infielder, and that's a position of need for me. The defensive improvement will be significant. Don't love the contract, but it wasn't so crazy that I was going to forego retaining him.
