Game One: The Storm finally got back in the win column with a 9-7 victory to open the series. Esteban Benitez was the starting pitcher and he went 7 innings. Although he allowed 5 runs, he also struck out 10 hitters and walked only 3. He also didn't allow any home runs. On offense, the Storm were paced by Ivan Salas, who launched his 3rd home run of the season, and who also had three hits. Manual Roman and Trey Williams also went deep for the Storm. Paul Hogan surrendered an 8th inning home run to blow the save opportunity, but he pitched a scoreless ninth to notch the win.
Game Two: Morgan Ackerman got the start, and he was awful, as the Storm lost 11-4. Ackerman gave up 7 runs in two innings, and from that point on, the game was essentially a foregone conclusion. Both Dave May and Austin Gibson had home runs for the Storm, and Gibson was the only Storm player with two hits.
Game Three: The rubber match ended in a disappointing 6-4 Storm loss. Domingo Beccera took the hill and pitched well, entering the 8th inning with a 4-3 lead, but the bullpen was unable to hold the lead. Ivan Salas continued his torrid hitting as he had two hits, a double and a triple, in four at bats. Phan Ta and Keith Moss each contributed two hits as well, but it wasn't enough to overcome the offense's stranding 10 runners. Matthew Krieger gave up 2 runs in 1 2/3 innings and he took the loss.
