Seattle continued its quiet off-season by inking the outfielder Bailey Lowe to a three-year contract, worth just over one million dollars per year. Although most commentators and fans believe that Lowe's defense will play very well in Seattle's cavernous stadium, many of those same observers are confused as to why the Storm felt the need to sign another outfielder right after signing Jose Munoz.
In response, Seattle GM Nathan Eagan offered only a terse "whoops." Despite the apparent oversight, there's a chance that both Lowe and Munoz play a significant role on the 2014 Storm, because both Tipper Kengos are headed to free agency, and both are rumored to have very high contract demands. In the meantime, Lowe might need to get used to cold weather and long bus rides, because the AAA Kalamazoo Kangaroos might be his initial destination.

I"m surprised he's not hitting well. Solid defensive ratings though.

Yeah, the ratings are what attracted me to him in the first place. And his offensive ratings aren't THAT bad; it seems like he should be able to hit, at least a little bit.Greeney03 wrote:I"m surprised he's not hitting well. Solid defensive ratings though.

Totally. Based on the ratings alone, I can see a guy hitting at least .275.njherdfan wrote:Yeah, the ratings are what attracted me to him in the first place.
