Sept 30, 2009 - I guess we should just always let the kids play as the Storm go 13-14 in September but of course we were most likely playing other team's call ups as well. Seattle scored 137 runs while allowing 158 which is still horrible but a small improvement. Hopefully they can find some help this offfseason.
Hitter of the Month: Shawn McCluire
This one was tough to pick and even though McClure only played in 9 games I still have to give him the award as he led the team with 7 homeruns and finished 2nd with 14 RBI in September. His 1.462 OPS is fantastic but it was in only 9 games but hey I get to decide who gets the award so too bad so sad
Pitcher of the Month: Tomas Roman
The 25 year old MR had a great September after being called up going 12.2 innings with 19Ks. His 2.84 ERA led the team and he held opponents to a .245 BA. Hopefully Seattle calls him up for full time duty next season.

7 homers in 9 games is not something to be overlooked. But he played some pretty awful defense at short for you.
Lipp seems to be coming along. Although I'm surprised he didn't start more games, with his durable rating. I am the reason he became a Storm, ya know...

Even with a durable rating I didn't want to overuse my catcher, even in my solo leagues my catchers always seem to get hurt so I played it very careful with Lipp. Yeah McClure was atrocious in the field but so was most of my team
And thank you for sending him my way

Yeah, play it careful. I guess. Until you know what he can take.
But if he were in my team, I would list him as everyday catcher and have someone be his backup "when tired." Not more than that. And that is what I normally do in solo leagues also.
Lipp of one of two prospects I refused to trade in 06. But then when the "interim" GM of Seattle said he would give me both Yamaguchi and Stanley, I said okay.
