Spike Dossier Arrives
December 16, 2062, Pain Island
FROM: Dirk & LaDonna Spike, PAD
TO: BIKINI EXECUTIVE SUITE
With the first session of off-field work behind us, we would like to report that everyone is doing great. Unfortunately, that would be a bit misleading. There was some pieces of very good news, however, starting with onetime top prospect Benji Amberman, who appears to be pushing their limits quite well. Per the attached report card, we can report that after appearing quite frustrated early on, something has seemed to click for the third baseman, and their barrel rates are going up consistently now. We are both very happy with Amberman's work.
Likewise, Steve Truss's and Paul Worboys' work is progressing nicely. Both appear on track to make progress. Truss' focus on the knuckle curve and change of pace seems to be particularly positive since he started his stint here at Pain Island on a particularly bad footing. If progress continues in this direction, however, there exists a reasonable chance that he could fill the Bikini roster out nicely come next year. Worboys' single-minded pursuit of velo has him even talking about it in his sleep, which is a good sign.
Both Jose Guevera and Abhijana Swamy have had moments where they seem to be latching on, but at present we find it hard to make any determination as to what the rest of the program will bring to them. They are working hard, but only time will tell.
Similarly, Ramon Sanz, Tomas Ramos, Abdul-Muta'al bin Essam, and Juan Ramos are coin flips. We trust their work effort, but not their programs are complex. We'll get a better read on them as they go forward.
Of concern right now is that Herman Deckard has suddenly taken a step backward as he's working on adding spin and break onto his off-pitches. A certain panic seems to be setting in right now, and we not he's focusing on the program objectives even at the expense the parts of our program that are set to contain stamina and control. We will continue to be diligent, but if you have further direction, please don't hesitate to ask.
Respectfully,
