Report Card Shows 40% Success Rate
Or, better stated, 60% failure rate?
February 25, 2062 | Catalina Island | After a long winter's programming, the Bikini Krill front office today released a full report outlining process that ten players who were assigned to Pain Island underwent. The team saw two outstanding results in AA starting pitcher Steve Truss, who was reported to have considerably more movement on his pitches, which officials are optimistic will help him keep his home run rate down, and with top prospect Benji Amberman, who will leave the compound making stronger contact.
Two other players had some obvious improvement, as A-ball pitcher Jose Guevara added vertical drop to his sinker and AAA pitcher Paul Worboys left the facility looking stronger and having added some ompfh to his fastball.
All four of these players could be making impacts at the big-league level in the near future.
Six others undertook programs, but the trainers were reluctant to declare any great gains. "Every opportunity to improve aids in growth somewhere," said Dr. LaDonna Steele, Pain Islant Physical Therapy specialist. That said, AA slugger Juan Ramos, BBA outfielder Grhama Aubry, BBA relievers Wintson Morris and Enrique Villarreal, AA first baseman Mauro Oksuzian, and Short-A shortstop Abdul-Muta'al bin Essam all left the Island without reported improvement.
Eyes will, of course, be on each of these players as the spring unfolds, and hope does run eternal that perhaps some residual impact of their time focusing on one aspect of their games will yield results elsewhere.
The full result is noted below.
