August 24, 2062 | Bikini Atoll: A press release out of Montreal listed the Bikini Krill's minor league system as #1 in baseball, which prompted the team's public outreach group to make an addendum of their own. "In this trying time on the field, we wanted fans of Earth's Team to know exactly what to expect. Because what the Blazer's pages revealed is really just the tip of the iceberg," said Marie Manning, the director of the Public Propaganda Team, in a prepared announcement.
The announcement was accompanied by a depth chart that included thirty-four players, twenty-eight of whom are rated with scouting potentials of at least 50/80, and six more who, at 45/80, have recently oscillated between 45/80 and 50/80.

"I love what Marie's team has done here," said Assistant General Manager Monica Green after today's executive briefing. "We've been releasing positional reviews of our club in the past, but this data really shows the results of the approach we like to take with player acquisition and development."
The club has been on the record for some time for being inclined to 'draft by position,' and to focus on providing playing time at proper levels to interesting prospects. "We like to do that," Green continued, "because we don't plan to craft high up on the lists very often, so setting the organization up to push our guys to get better across the board is our only real goal."
The table, as one can see, shows solid prospect up and down the organization and across all positions on the field. Only Center Field is without at least one 50/80, and that's because Ramon Sanz only recently slipped a notch (despite not losing any components that we could see). In addition, the chart does not take into account any position swapping related to guys like Platon Mousa, who may need to slide to second base to play in the big leagues if bin Essam succeeds. A few players (Capps, Salazar, and Ramos) have been included despite already having accumulated some service time this season, but it's expected that this service will leave them shy of qualifying for a full year. Hence as far as operations go, means they will play as if they are rookies next season.
"The goal is to wins some games while we grow the system," Green concluded her conversation. "I should note that we've gone to the SPET two of the last three seasons, and still hold some hopes of being able to make that happen again this year. I hope our fans are ready for the ride."
