Batter of the Month

Ted Sale
We had a few nice offensive outputs in April, but none topped the month that Sale had. Sale hit .400/.461/.733 in April with 8 homeruns and 17 runs batted in. The slugging 1b currently leads the team in batting average, is tied for the team lead in homeruns, and ranks 2nd on the team in rbis. Sale is the leader of the offense that ranked first in April with 33 homeruns hit.
Pitcher of the Month

Bradley Rieves
In 6 April starts, Rieves went 3-2 to lead the Surfers in wins. His 2.22 ERA and 26 strikeouts were also team best. Considering our pitching ranks 6th or worse in nearly every category, it wasn't exactly difficult to win this award in April. Any pitcher with a decent stat line could have won. Nonetheless, Rieves' numbers are still pretty solid.
AAA Player of the Month

Marcus Currey
It's probably not a good sign when your award goes to a 32-year old who is still in the minors, but Currey had the best month for the Sun Devils. He hit .356/.435/.525 with 4 homeruns, 15 rbis, 3 stolen bases, and scored 13 runs for the month.
AA Player of the Month

Leo Aliff
Leo is the Surfers' brightest minor league prospect. So what better way to resume the MBBA then having him win the award as our top player of the month in Double-A. Leo hit .313/.374/.482 in April with 1 homerun and 16 runs batted in. He also drew 10 walks compared to just 8 strikeouts. He also led the team with 8 doubles and 4 triples in the month.
A Player of the Month

Raymond Smith
Smith isn't really a prospect by any means. And at age 24, still being at the Single-A level probably doesn't help your chances of ever making it to the big league level. However, that didn't stop Raymond from tearing it up in April for the Sixshooters. Raymond went 4-1 with a 2.15 ERA in 6 starts. He struck out 47 and psoted a 1.07 WHIP in 50.1 innings pitched.
