Who is the most frustrating player in the MBBA? Easily, it's Ian Botham. He teases with his talent, his brief surges of production, and then it quickly becomes a memory. He was supposed to be the power fixture in the Hustlers lineup for years, but the only way we could get him to hit was by batting him leadoff. That is not where your main power threat is supposed to be.

I floated the idea of Botham to Brad, knowing that he had an affinity for good defensive players. BRad needed someone who could not only play great outfield defense, but also potentially hit. With Botham's nickname being "potential", it was an easy sell.

It wasn't easy, however, for me to part with him. It wasn't until the deal with Calgary (see Vol 7) when I got a replacement for him that I decided Brad's offer was good enough.

Norbert Rich, as it stands, is an above average relief arm. After I do the relief specialization on him this offseason, he will be studly.

The 'real' Ian Botham was a frustrating player too. Very good at scoring runs and bowling but didn't always field to his ability plus his many clashes with the authorities over his lifestyle
