Here's a couple youngsters that will be playing in new roles this season in the Las Vegas system:

Jackson, 25 years old, has been unable to rise above Class A Pahrump as an infielder. The Hustlers will give him a chance as a reliever this year, where he has 6/6/5 talents and a 61% GB rate.

Ray Kenney, LF/MR
Kenney, 21 years old, has no power or batting eye to speak of. Since being signed to a minor league contract in 1995, he's been mostly a pinch hitter and defensive outfield replacement. He's actually performed above his ratings in spot play, but there is no future for him in the outfield, so he'll give pitching a shot. He's a 6/6/5 talent who had a 1.95 ERA his senior year in high school in 18 outings (10 starts).

Robinson Ramos, CF/SP
Ramos, 21 years old, was a two way star when drafted in the 3rd round of the 1995 draft out of a Washington high school. The Hustlers decided to go with him as an outfielder, with the promise that if he hasn't ascended quickly they would give him a chance to start. After three seasons of not being able to establish himself above the Class A level, it's time to give the mound a shot. Ramos is a 6/7/5 talent with four pitches and decent stamina. HE went 8-3, 1.79 ERA, 142 K's in 110 innings in his senior year of high school.
