WHIV 2060.9- Hustlers Continue To Zig-Zag, Acquire Veteran Backup Infielder

Are the Hustlers rebuilding or what? Local Las Vegas Hustlers fans are absolutely shocked, and some even outraged over the most recent trade with the San Fernando Bears. The Hustlers dealt away Mauro Rios, a low-level left field "prospect" (though it seems generous to call him that) in exchange for veteran infielder Kevin Corbett. Corbett, at age 31, hasn't done much of anything in his BBA career. His biggest claim to fame was being the Hustlers #1 draft pick in 2049. He makes $2M this year and is expected to be the Hustlers' utility infielder.

Long time Hustlers fan David Krappenshitz couldn't believe it. "What the hell are these guys doing anyways? I thought they were rebuilding," said Krappenshitz, who appeared to be in actual pain while talking. "Rios is no one but Corbett is a high paid no one who is going to force a young kid off the team. It just makes no sense. None. I actually can not deal with this. My whole world is shattered right now." Krappenshitz then broke into tears and as of the end of this story, was still openly sobbing while occasionally muttering "two million dollars of cap space" and "fucking Corbett".

David's twin brother Paul was equally charged by the move, but showed out more in anger than despair. "What in the actual f*** Rectenwald? Why do we need this f***ing guy? Can he pitch? Did I miss something? Jeez, it's absurd. He must be thinking....," Paul Krappenshitz faded off into deep thought for several minutes then snapped back quickly with "I don't know what the f*** he's thinking!"

Prominent Las Vegas sports super fan Earl Turlet (pictured above reacting to the report of this trade) was astonished. "That's what you get when you have an 87 year old dude running your franchise, I guess," Turlet said, his expression and body language screaming "come on, man". "Trading for a failed first round pick from 11 seasons ago right after you trade away our starting center fielder. It's madness, MADNESS i tell you! When did we become a second rate franchise? I'll tell you when- the moment Rectenwald made this trade! Don't tell me I'm overreacting!! Kevin Corbett to Vegas for Rios is the worst thing to happen in Vegas since Terry Franciscen died of AIDS!!!"

Rectenwald was unavailable for comment.
