Crawdad Chronicles 15.01- New Orleans Disapointing Season

Post by JimBob2232 » Sat May 10, 2014 10:07 am

2014 - All was glorious in New Orleans. The crawdads came away with their 2nd Landis cup in 2 years.

2015 - It looked promising that New Orleans would contend again. They started the season 10-0 with a fantastic April (21-6), and the Crawdads never looked back. They finished atop the FL-MW for the 3rd consecutive year. Armed by young guns and grizzley veterans, and after putting away the FL-MW before the heat of the summer even started, it looked like a trip to the Landis Cup was within reach once again.

However...something happened. Slowly over the summer, Birmingham gained. New Orleans fell. That super record in April fell to just 14-12 in September, and ultimatly Birmingham was unable to close the gap in the FL-MW.

As luck would have it, New Orleans faced Birmingham in the 1st round of the playoffs. And just like the regular season, New Orleans started hot, going 3-0 to start the playoffs against their divisional foe. But once again, just like in the regular season, Birminham refused to cave, and took the next four, and ultimately the Landis, away from the favorited New Orleans Crawdads.
