Okay, lets try to get 99 off to a better start than 98....
Things are finally looking up in New Orleans as, barring an upset, rookie Chris Terry is poised to take home the ROY award. Although not expected to contribute significantly in 1998, the un-drafted free agent out of the 1995 draft, the 27 year old hit .346 with 21 HRs and 93 RBIs for the struggling young club.
Terry has quickly made his ascent up the minor league circuit. In just 2 short years he went from an A ball afterthought to New Orleans only representative at the 1998 All-Star Game and likely ROY honors. New Orleans is hoping he can become a fixture in Right field for years to come.

Good to see some team news out of New Orleans. Terry had a wonderful rookie season and should be a mainstay for years to come.
