They call it a bus. A mode of transportation still at use in the never-developed world. Des Moines will board the retro-style Greyhound to Chicago and the windy city's Vinnie Vitale Stadium today and drop captain Dan Morris off at the corner of Wabash and Washington and bid him buena suerte (good luck) at a scene that will bring the Dan Morris Years—all three of them—to a close.

Ricardo Magana, 21, has been named new team captain. And the Kernels lineup now features only two players thirty years or over (SS Gongora and OF Koo, 30 and 31). That is with Rich Dares, 35, on the DFA or IL or wherever he's hiding today.

And the bus ride, driven by NIMM™ (Nissan Industries Matter Mover 3.1), will feature six, count them, six not five, new Kernels as they take the field, or the dugout, versus the Medias Negras (Black Sox), who have eclipsed both Des Moines and that team they send people up the river to, Twin Cities.

Until then, it seems António Hernández, "El Relámpago de Xochi" (The Lightning Bolt of Xochihuehuetlan), will do that. Chandler has led a hard life. First of all, he's from Canada. As a bonus, the Kernels obtained a lefthanded Latino reliever, 19-y.o. Víctor Trevino (9/6/5), who was the Black Sox first-round pick in 2062. He'll start his career with the DMO as the closer at Triple-A El Paso. And let's not forget about Angelo Lucchesi, scion of Guido Lucchesi of Palermo Pizzeria fame. Ask any Italian™ Chicago-style pizza will be served at the local Kum & Go starting with the series against Louisville.

Interesting trade. You basically bought Trevino for the difference in Morris and Lucchesi’s 2064 salary. Although Morris is the much better player at this point. Trevino looks good tho.

A Chicago city bus. Haven't ridden an intercity bus since I was in Costa Rica. I used to ride the Megabus around the Midwest but it's been close to 10 years.
