The DMO refers to it as "Slayerville," JR sometimes calls it "Sailorsville," Oogle Maps calls it Saylorville. However you crack it, the Nuts stand at 37-29 with two games to play. Yes, eliminated from post-season play. But nut before racking up wins this week of 25-1 vs Russellville (VAL) and 18-3 vs Assateague (CCJ), with whom the Nuts finish off the season.

P Enrique Flores (6/6/5 [45]POT) is fresh off the IL and the DMO's 2nd round pick of this year will get the start vs the Ponies. In eight starts, Flores is 3-1, with a 0.91 WHUP in 44 innings. In Game 2, expect the Nuts to run out 20-y.o. southy Jorge Gómez to start against his former team. Gómez was acquired in mid-June.

UPDATE: Gomez ends the Nuts season with a 122-pitch shut out vs former team; the score was 8-0. Saylorville finishes 38-30.

First-round pick (2062, 15th overall) SS Juan Sierras has slugged 13 home runs in 52 starts for Saylorville, along with a 1.110 OPS and 4.0 WAR. He had a 1.177 OPS in 38 games for Central America College, in his only other recorded baseball stats. With high adaptability and work ethic, DM hopes he'll increase his fielding and running, and heck—why not?—his hitting skills. The "OK City Kid" has a combined ZR in RL and College of 9.4 at shortstop in 87 games.

The switch hitter may sit out the final two games, as a precaution versus potential injury such as bat whiplash or helmet gnat infestation. Or, as an alternative, he could be promoted to SA and get another 10 starts.
