KT 62.49 - Haworth pitches a beaut at Chicago

Ken Haworth, looking for a nickname—maybe Hawk?—was inserted in the rotation while Cantrell is on the IL, and the 6' 6" Canadian from New Brunswick responded with a gem: allowing five hits, two runs, one walk, and k-ing five in a seven inning 3-2 win over the pesky Black Sox.

There was a 49 minute rain delay after the 7th—funny, they didn't call the game like they did in April with DM about to take the lead. Scott Everard (6-4, 2.73) pitched the last two innings and got his 15th save. He also pitched in the next game, and will now probably sit out the next two contests at Vinnie Vatalie Stadium in anticipation of the four-game series following this one at TWC.

For Haworth it was his 4th start of the 2062 season. As a starter he now has a 3.65 ERA, and in 15 games as a reliever he 2.78 ERA / 1.37 whip. His whip as a starter is actually lower, 1.14
