Since any news.
So here we go.

The DMO has picked 18.y.o. switch-hitting shortstop Juan Sierras (6/5/5) as its number one pick in the 2062 amateur draft. Not the sexiest pick, and almost certainly not the best available player (covering several positions, especially outfield, pitcher, and catcher), the team has decided to take on a project, well, to improve an already decent IFC Glove Wizard Award winner whose only career injury has been food poisoning he suffered after an April fool's joke in a local OKC bar-be-cue joint went wrong.
"We want this guy to increase his hitting, his power, his defense, his stealing ability, I don't think that's too much to ask," asst GM Esteban Costa said. "Meanwhile the DMO is very lacking in the shortstop department," he continued. "I mean prospect-wise. We're still high on [current DM SS] Gongora."
Sierras comes into town not asking a whole lot of money to sign him, and with excellent intangibles: a green light, or high, on Leader, Adaptability, Work Ethic. If he fails to make a decent shortstop, he can convert to second base.
Some DMO fans are not confident about the pick: "J.R. musta been on weed when he approved that pick. There were hella better players, a hella lotta hella better players. Da hell, bra?" Another said: "Worst [first-round pick evah]. We'll have the 'fun' of seeing the non-picks dominate league play for years while this guy maybe makes a below-average infielder for somebody." Da hell, Jessie, what were ya thinking?"
