The International Free Agent signing period has just been completed and the San Antonio Outlaws came away with one prospect.
The Outlaws outbid the rest of the league for Catching prospect Octavio Moreno. Moreno was one of three offers extended during the signing period but was the only one that was accepted. The 16 yr old Catcher out of Minatitlan, Veracruz, Mexico is considered on of the few "can't miss' prospects in the IFA pool.
Moreno has show excellent ability with the bat and projects to be a high Contact hitter who should also provide high Power as his body matures. A high character young man with exceptional Work Ethic, Moreno has all the intangibles to become a successful BBA player. When asked which BBA player he would most like to emulate, it's not surprising that he said his hero was HOF Catcher Dexter Sheehan.
Moreno has been assigned to the Outlaws International Complex to begin his quest for BBA glory.
