Well, this is a surprise. Your San Antonio Outlaws have come out the gate strong to open the new season. The Outlaws start the year on the road with a two game series against the Atlantic City Gamblers followed by a four game set against the Mexico City Aztecs and complete the sim with a 5-1 record. The Outlaws are set for their home opener against Wichita, part of a nine game homestand.

On this partly cloudy day at Ullamaliztli Field, SP Ricardo Rivera spun 7.2 innings of shutout ball, and RP Eric Holliday mopped up the last 1.1 to lead the Outlaws over the Aztecs 8-0. Rivera allowed 5 Hits and struck out 8 while maintaining control throughout the game. Mexico City was only able to muster 3 Singles and 2 Doubles off Rivera before Holliday worked around two walks in the final inning.
Offensively, freshly called up 1B Larry Stinson made his presence felt going 2-4, scoring 3 Runs and knocking in 3 RBI's thanks to two HR's. San Antonio collected 13 Hits and also added 3 SB's.
