2063.3 Loder Omaha's All Star

Pat Loder was selected to represent Omaha in the 2062 All Star game and makes his first ever appearance in a All Star game. Pure excitement Loder said its been a dream of mine to make this game. Loder a 2055 2nd round pick has just continued to grow year after year to reach this point where he can call himself an all star. Loder is not foreign to accomplishments during his minor league career he was selected to 3 all star games. He has also won league MVP, playoff MVP, player of the week and batter of the month.

Loder just turned 24 at the start of the season is enjoying his 3rd season in Omaha. During Loders first season and part of his second season he was forced to play CF GM Spencer said and that really put extra pressure on him, and it was our goal to get him out of that position and make him the RF on this squad. The move really paid off GM Spencer said, he has really settled in to a position that he is comfortable with and his offensive numbers have also improved as a result. Loder is 2nd in the Frick in ZR rating at 12.3 and he has only had 1 error all season. We love his ability to chase down the fly ball GM Spencer said.

Although many critics might say Loder is a defensive first player he has established himself as a bat in the lineup that needs to be respected. He is hitting .278 with 12 HR, 49 RBI, 25 2B and a OPS+ of 107. Loder has shown the ability to hit lefties well and its so valuable having someone you can put into the lineup regardless of matchup and trust that guy with the bat. We have him hitting cleanup for us this season and we are hoping at some point to get him out of the cleanup spot but he has done a great job for us.

Loder said i have heard the whispers and the comments in the media that the only reason I was chosen to become an All Star is because Omaha needed a representative. I know I am a fairly new player in this league and I don't have the respect of everyone yet but I intent to work hard and get even better so that I can be an all star for multiple seasons. I really think I am just coming into my own this season and I will get even better. For Omaha if Loder can get better each season that is a great thing.
