2060.2 SATO GETS 2,000 HITS

May 12th 2060 will always be a milestone day for Yodo Sato it was the day he got his 2,000 career hit in the BBA. In a 8-5 victory for Omaha over Chicago Sato went 3 for 5 while with one of those being a double and also scoring 2 runs in the game. It felt great Sato said you dream on getting your first hit in the majors and to think I have been blessed to get 2,000 is quite humbling especially after a couple tough injuries. Sato has fractured his Tibia 2x in the last 3 years. There was times I didn't know if i would return to the field, I am thankful.

Sato is a 1x All Star who has spent 12 seasons in the BBA. He spent 7 season in the Valencia organization where he had a career year in 2052 when he collected 207 hits that year. Over the past 5 years he has been traveling some with spending stints in Atlantic City, Vancouver and the last 2 seasons in Omaha. Sato has been a career batting average of .305, with 60 HR and 589 RBI's. Sato has just been a solid BBA veteran in the league for many years.

Sato has done everything we have asked him to do this season for us GM Spencer said. We have asked him to play out of position for us the past couple weeks due to some injuries. We are trying to get some additional infield depth so he can return to 1B but he has done exactly what we need done. Finding guys that will do whatever is so hard to find and he is out team captain. Bench Coach Wilford Coffey said while no one is singing Kumbaya in the locker room, Yodo Sato has brought the team closer together. That type of solidarity is helping us big time and will lead to more wins.
