It was announced tonight that the Montreal Blazers have lost 2041 free agent singing RP Mario Pineda for the rest of the season. He will be out for 4-5 months with a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Pineda has appeared in 12 games this season, accumulating a 1-2 record with a 6.35ERA. Pineda was signed last off season to a 3 year worth $4.6 million total.The Blazers have promoted 23 year old Alberto Valenzuela to the big league club from AAA New Jersey. With New Jersey he has appeared in 15 games with a 1-0 record and a ERA of 3.52.
