Just in time for the Doubleday Series, Montreal medical staff have cleared ace starting pitcher
Lúcio Juárez to return. He was injured on September 2 and diagnosed with a strained abdominal muscle. He went 5-11 with a 4.42 ERA this season, a far cry from his previous season (14-9, 2.87), but the Blazers are thrilled to have him back. They've been holding together their starting rotation with duct tape and bailing wire. Only two starters have been consistent for them, the veteran
José Barrón (16-11, 3.70) and southpaw
Peter Ramsey (9-7, 4.22). Juárez, who leads the team in pitching WAR, will be a very welcome addition as the Blazers prepare to face the formidable Las Vegas Hustlers.

Lúcio Juárez
Originally selected in the second round of the 2047 amateur draft by New Orleans, Juárez failed to sign and went to college instead. He was drafted in the first round in 2050 by Seattle and signed for $5 million. In 2058, the team traded him to Vancouver; he became a free agent at the end of the season. He signed with Montreal for six years / $14,500,000.
