Takeichi Suzuki
The left-handed hitting Suzuki projects to play a platoon role at the keystone if he makes the team. Only 25, he was originally selected in the second round of the 2054 amateur draft by San Fernando. For two consecutive offseasons, they worked with him in their development complex to improve his defense, but to no avail. He is an average defender with good hands but a below average throwing arm.
He appeared in 222 games for the Bears, starting 181 of them. His career slash line is .278/.330/.368 (93 OPS+).
