How can I resist rewarding the player that someone else in the league covets so? Well, I cannot.

Richard Wasson has shown the MBWBA what he can do in May, and in doing so, has earned the right to be named the Buffalo Bison Pitcher of the Month. Even though he did lose a game (in which he should have in my eyes been given an earned run), after that performance, he was nearly flawless for the month, building a record for the month of 0-1 with 6 saves. In 11 appearances, he pitched 10 and 1/3rd innings, giving up only eight hits, that one unearned run I spoke of, striking out 13 and walking only one. His 0.00 ERA in may has lowered his season number down to 2.74, and with the way he has been pitching, I would not be surpassed to see that number drop down below 2.00 soon. I also will not be surprised to see him pitching for the Frick League in the All Star Game this summer.

With a .987 OPS in the month of May, Jeremy Hunter has been doing all he can to make sure that he plays every day, even with an abundance of 1B/C types on the roster. Although his May totals for Home Runs (4), RBI (17), and total bases (54) were all only good enough for 2nd on the team, his batting average (.370), Walks (15), OBP (.457), Slugging (.530) and OPS (.987) all lead the team by plenty. The question for Superman is not "Will he make the All Star team", it's "Will he Start and bat 3rd for the All Star Team". In Buffalo, we do think he is THAT good.
