Pretty much everything is working like a well oiled machine. Free agent pick up 3B Alistar 'Nails' Sharpe has fulfilled his needed role with ease. He has hit 373/402/647 thus far with 8 HR, 19 RBI and 19 R. He has struck out quite a bit, but that was expected. Also, on that side of the infield, SS Ryan Savaikie is playing beautifully. He is batting 358/404/575 and has hit an astounding 6 HR in April. Keeping on the topic of offense, last season's FA pick up, Jefferey Linquist is finally living up to expectations batting .314 and getting on base at a .379 clip. All this has happened while superstar catcher Jeremy 'Superman' Hunter has been slow out of the gate going 286/336/561 which is a bit off pace his young career averages of 309/355/492 posted prior to this season.
On the pitching side of things, the rotation is plain solid. Amen Mitrani is doing what he does best, going undefeated thus far and posting a 2.06 ERA. Jim Cramer is having the best season of his career, albeit in a contract year, going 3-0 with a 1.64 ERA and a platry 0.88 WHIP. The biggest surprise is that the move of Melvin 'Tin Man' Ripken from closer to the rotation has paid off huge dividends. Ripken has only gone 3-0 with a 2.77 ERA, averaging 6.5 IP per start. Huge FA pickup Richard Wasson is performing nicely in the closer role, going 3-0 with 6 saves. He has a modest ERA of 3.29 and has blown 2 saves in 12 opportunities this season, so he has some settling down to do.
So, hopefully this does not jinx our Bison and things keep going as well as they have.
