With us coming into the final month of the BBA season, I acquired some more names in our push for our first postseason birth in 4 seasons. I really pushed hard for one player (that GM knows who he is) but it didn't happen. Who did we end up getting?

RF Jamie Angwin

Angwin is he big acquisition of us at the deadline, more or less has been brought in as a rental to fill the RF gap left by Zhi Li's season-ender a few weeks ago. Also it's my first trade with New Orleans! The three time All-Star will hopefully boost an offense with a little power and ability to draw walks, which are two things we're ranked near the bottom at. There are currently no plans to accept the team option for next season.

CF Mike Cox

Cox was brought in for $1 from Bikini for his great defense which will back-up Amphibian. His speed will allow him to be an excellent pinch runner as well. Similar to Angwin I don't plan to accept his team option for next season either.

CF Pedro Rosales

He finally makes up his mind and signs after taking forever. Originally I wanted him after Zhi Li got hurt to take over right field, but since he took too long it'll be Angwin. He's got solid gap power and should draw some more walks for the team as well. He'll do nicely as a backup for both left and right field.

We're getting closer to the season ending, and it looks like I should at least finish with a winning record. Will we make the playoffs? Or just feel inevitable disappointment again?
