Position Player of the Sim:
Royce Hinkle
A rough week overall in terms of the offense scoring runs but Hinkle did his best, 6 hits in 17 at bats with a homerun and 2 RBIs. With that homerun Hinkle has now passed last season's team homerun leader Greg Clover who had 23.
Pitcher of the Sim:
Gamal bin Badr
bin Badr took the loss after giving up just two runs in five innings, striking out nine. Probably the first time i've given this out to a "losing" pitcher but yeah, not his fault.
Dud of the Sim:
Motka Beteev
A rough showing after being named Pitcher of the Sim last time, giving up 5 earned runs in 4 innings with a whopping 7 free passes given. The gods also punished him by dropping him to a 45 (of FUCKING course)
Transactions and Injuries:
Nothing much to note here, no transactions or new injuries.
All Star Report:
The Frick League came out victorious 4-0 against the Johnson League. Jesus Garcia and Dirk Bessi both pitched an inning. Garcia struck out Mas'ud bin Salah al Din in the third inning and gave up no runs, hits or walks, whilst Bessi in the sixth inning gave up a walk to Pedro Hozven and a hit to Malik bin Mazin. Fortunately he finished the inning with a strikeout to Domingo Chavez and no runs earned. Mitchell Goater came on as a defensive substitute in the eighth inning and didn't even get to hit, (fire the damn Frick league manager). Cory Gaudreau was our lone appearance in the futures game. Like Goater he was a defensive replacement late and didn't get to hit.
Next Sim:
Welp we're on a five game losing streak so we need to start winning some games if we don't want to fall out of the playoff race, we travel to play four games against Chicago before then traveling to...........
