It was a regular late April morning for me as I woke up bright and early at 10am. I did my usual routine of making a bite to eat, going for a run, showering and getting dressed for work. Everything was business as usual until I received a DM from Nashville GM Chad Nason.
"Must want to discuss a trade." I said to no one in particular.
So I opened it to see the message, "I plan on making Tony Frost a coach btw, in case you had any plans on sniping him."
The face I made was one of pure confusion. Is Tony Frost not already my third base coach? I started to wonder if I had forgotten to essentially re-sign his deal. Were player-to-coach conversions only one year deals? Crap. So I rushed on to StatsPlus to search if he was still my coach and yeah he was still there. So I reach out and say 'Um, he's already my third base coach."
I then went about with my day when he responded, "Are you serious?". I mean yeah he retired last season and I couldn't sign a 3B coach to save my life so I figured why not? Same reason I made Jeffrey Smith my minor league hitting coach. After all there should be an art-
Oh wait nope, I never finished it, it's just casually sitting in the drafts. Son of a-
"Well hopefully we can avoid your expulsion but I don't know, probably a suspension to say the least." says Chad as he sharpened his axe.
"Welp it's been fun." I say as I place my head above the awaiting basket.
"Yeahhh wish I could say the same, we have Tyler to fill our league trade quota anyways."
