2061-1 If it ain't broke..

What on earth will I do about our offense that scored a measly 594 Runs last season? The thing is.. I don't know. On one hand with additions like Leonardo Rodriguez late last year it feels as though our offense should be better than it was without having to make a drastic signing. I mean looking at the FA class I haven't really seen any major hitters that aren't just first basemen. Should I continue to run with guys like Vance Cooper and Javier Valles who also haven't played a full season yet? With the departure of Yazeed bin Saleem, our payroll is currently slated to be $80,000,000. Not too bad since we'll have essentially $35 million in cap room but with our budget we won't be anywhere near it. This is the tough part about having a pitcher friendly stadium, your offense suffers. I miss the days of Tony Frost and Angel Gonzalez playing like gods here scoring our runs. Nowadays its just Davenport Hinkle trying to keep us his incredible stats year after year. We'll see what could end up happening but I cant imagine one big splash will turn our entire offense around. Maybe make some more smaller signings? Again I don't know.

So with that there's at least one thing I won't have to worry about in Free Agency.

With me accepting Sam Fisher's and Antonio Baldez's team options, I fully intend to run it back with the same starters that carried us the last few months of the season. Those are:

Dirk Bessi
Antonio Baldez
Sam Fisher
Tom Miller
Stephen Clulow Jr

I shouldn't have to worry about these five at all at the very least. Second in the Frick League in Starter ERA, all five of them being on the Who's Hot list at the same time, I think I have one of the best if not the best pitching cores in the BBA.

Everyone in the bullpen except Adrian Fox will be returning as well, although I will probably need to add another arm or two, we'll see who's out there.

I was going to post something like this today too talking about going with youth. Then Suzuki hit the block.

Really need some of these youth to step up this year. Serrano and Hinkle can’t do it alone

I like Valles. Think you should give him a shot.

He’ll probably platoon DH with Pena and back up third base
