The Stars went 14-13 in April, which is not a terrible start...The offense seems a little suggest so the lineup will see some changes over the next few weeks...
The Stars bullpen is doing great the first month rated number one in JL division...Middle Relief pitchers Jesse Mountbatten 2.42, Ralph Nelson 2.92 and 15 k's in 12 innings and Mark Beadle 2.57 are a few of the guys doing well so far... Vet RP Deshawn Pines has some bad shoulder inflammation and could be out as long as 4 months....Pines has been with the Stars since 1999 and has one more year on his contract....
The Suns and the Stars finalized a deal this last week. Marquette has traded 23-year-old minor league first baseman Willie Hudson and young catching prospect
Leonardo Rosa for INF Jesús Ferrer...Ferrer had really no playing time with so many Infielders the Stars have coming up or on team....Hudson looks to be a DH type that the Stars could use next season and hopefully Rosa can be a backup catcher one day for the Stars who really don't have any catchers besides top spec Jason Dunn who could be promoted very soon as he is doing great at AAA minor league team....
