After a slow start the Stars have really stepped it up here in May going 13-6 and now have a very slight lead over the Hawaii Tropics by a half a game...The Stars pitching has been awsome and they lead in allmost every catagory..The team era for the Stars is a low 2.88..

STARS NEWS UPDATE...
3B Rye Kelly had one of his best games this year vs Washington Bobwhites as he went 4-5 with 1 RBI and 4 runs scored..Overall Kelly has been struggling..Kelly is hitting .250 5 11..INF Steve Rossi has taken over allot of the playing time from Kelly...Rossi hits 2 home runs against the Louisville Sluggers, going 3-5 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored and now is hitting .354 7 13..Rossi has pushed out Kelly and is starting at 3b...1B Edwin Pyburn Is showing the Stars why he is now starting at 1B..Last season Pyburn was called up towards the end of the season and has never looked back...So far this season Pyburn is hitting .359 4 19 and had his second 4 hit game against the Greenville Moonshiners as he went 4-5 that game...
OF DeMario Davis hit 2 homers in a game against the Vancouver Mounties, going 3-4 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. Davis is off to a great start hitting .307 and now has 10 homers with 34 rbis....
