Valencia Stars Report: 51-57 (.472) # 6

Post by leejay56 » Fri Mar 15, 2013 12:51 pm

The Stars ended up with a 8-18 record in July, the worst month of the year so far....Hopefully the Stars can get back up to .500 in August...

This gives you an idea hwo the Stars are stuggling the last 10 games...The Stars offense most players are have career lows....Almost every catagory the Stars are overall 12th...You can win games when you cant hit....

WHO'S NOT?
2B Joseph Steward .120, 0 HR Last 7 games
1B Tomás Mota .080, 0 HR Last 8 games
LF Yi-lin She .125, 0 HR Last 9 games
P Will Cameron 1-6, 8.49 Last 7 games
P Brian Middleton 0-3, 16.36 Last 10 games

SP Bob Blaisdell picked up his 12th win of the year...Blaisdell is 12-8 with a 4.14 era this year for the Stars...Last season was a career year for him when he went 16-8 with a 4.43 era....

SP ELADIO BELTRAN is having a solid year with 8 wins and a 3.21 era so far...Beltran won 12 games last season with the Stars which was the most for him in his career....

The biggest mystrey is rookie SP Brian Middleton...Middleton as a starter is horrible with a 6-10 6.91 era so far this season but as a RP he is 1-0 2.60 ERA....Middleton will go back into the rotation again and hopefully can pitch as well as a starter as he did as a RP....

If Middleton doesnt work out, i suppose LV would be willing to give him a shot. :)

Vancouver would immediately put him in their rotation.
Would that they could. :P

He's young. He'll be a fine starter.

4 FIP as a starter - he's been pitching fine, just a tad unlucky in a super small sample size.

Maybe Middleton was brought up a year too early?

I dunno. That's why I'm asking. I got some AAA guys on the cusp who it is hard for me to wait till next season, but I guess it's the best thing.
