The Stars had the injury bug hit them in June...There biggest weakness is the starting pitching and 2 of the Stars pitchers went down in June....Vet SP Devon Hyngary went out of a game and the team's medical staff said that the 36-year-old starting pitcher had suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 4 months. This season Hyngary has 3 wins and 7 losses and a 5.03 ERA.. The worst part for Hungary was 9 wins from 200 wins...Hyngary signed with the Stars for this year hoping he will get a shot at 200 wins...Hopefully Hyngary will make a come back but after 16 years with the Stars it could be very hard for him to come back...Hyngary is 5th on the all time strike out list with 3,633 lifetime K's.....
The Stars other vet SP Eladio Beltran will be out a few weeks with rotator cuff strain and thats 2 times for a total of 3 weeks in the last month...Beltran now 36 is 7-4 with a 3.40 era is 100 innings pitched...Beltran looks to be fading some but hopefully he can come back and finish the year strong....
Finally OF Yi-lin She had a very good month in June...She before June was hittting below .200 but in June hit .299 6 homers 18 RBI'S....Overall She brought his average up over .200 to .221 with 13 homers and 45 RBIS.......Last season with the Stars She had his worst year hitting only .239 24 homers.....
Rookie SP Brian Middleton had a impressive win vs Baltimore last week as he tossed a complete game 3-hit shutout.Middleton walked 1 and struck out 5 in the 10-0 victory. So far this season the rookie is 6-7 5.14 and if he gets a little more consistent then he could be the ace of the Stars staff....................
