The Stars are closing in on a .500 season...The Stars are only 4 games away from a .500 season with about 6 weeks to go...Last season the Stars won 57 games and so far they are at 60 wins...If the Stars get 17 more wins it will b the most wins since the 2002 season....

The Stars made a trade last week with Chicago...The Stars traded 26 year old 1B/DH Thomas Taylor..Taylor was just brought up this season the but the Stars already have 3 other players ahead of him at that position...The Stars also traded 27 year old MR Ron Bly..Bly was doing well for the Stars 2-0 with a 3.00 era but they were looking at rebuilding...The Stars recieved 25 year old 2B/SS Jesús Ferrer who was put on the Stars roster and should see plenty of playing time over the next 6 weeks...Ferrer had 25 doubles and 12 homers in AAA ball so far this season....He is ready and will get more playing time than Taylor....
The Stars also got 23-year-old minor league outfielder Carlos Quick..Quick could be brought up in September..A great D CF who is very fast and can hit some to...He wont be the greatest offensive player but the Stars have no one in there minors that can play CF...
The last player the Stars picked up was 19-year-old minor league starting pitcher Brian Adams..Adams is very raw and the Stars hope # 4-5 started one day.....
