As the season starts getting near the end of the dog-days of summer, We are going to look at the prospects that are currently pitching for the Rookie club in Russelville.

Pedro Salazar The 19 year-old called up from the International Complex last season is enjoying moderate success with the Rockets. So far Pedro is sporting a 5-2 record with a 3.60 ERA but his WHIP is sitting at 1.40. He is on pace to achieve a WAR of 1.5 this season and currently has an ERA+ of 103. Pedro's current overall rating is still at 20 but his potential is still holding at 45. His Stuff/Movement/Control potentials are 6/5/7. Pedro will probably finish out the 2062 season in Russelville but very well may be promoted to the SA level Saturn Ringers in 2063.

Ramon Lopez The lone southpaw of the group, Ramon was drafted in the fourth round of this past rookie draft and is currently 17 years-old. Ramon is 0-1 in 7 starts with an ERA of 3.66 and a WHIP of 1.22. His 100 mph fastball has led to 31 K's in 32 innings of work and he is on pace for a WAR of 0.8. Ramon's current/overall potential rating is at 20/40 with his potential Fastball/Slider/Cutter ratings clocking in at 10/10/9 respectively. Ramon is likely to spend the entire season in Russelville as well.

Javier Cordova Acquired as part of the Miller Shed trade with Twin Cities, Javier is 20 years old and pitching his second year at the rookie level. Javier is 5-2 with an ERA of 2.00 and a WHIP of 0.87 in his 9 starts to date. His Strikeout/Walk ratio has the locals exited as he has struck out 50 batters and walked 3 in his 54 innings this season. Javier may be moved to the Saturn Ringers soon, but his current overall rating is still sitting at 20 with a potential of 35.

Ioan Gusatu Ioan is another callup from the International Complex and is 1-4 with a 4.43 ERA so far this season. Although there is room for improvement with a overall potential rating of 40, things will need to improve for Ioan to have him in the mix in 2063.

Resid Aygun The third member of this starting rotation called up from the International complex, Resid in 1-1 in his two starts with a 6.39 ERA and WHIP of 1.43. Resid is a long shot to stay around beyond this season at this point.

With 4 of the 5 starters under the age of 20, there are still a lot of development bumps or declines that could happen. At this point, it seems only 3 of the 5 have much of a chance of progressing through the organization.
