Galaxy Gas 2062.01 - Valencia Manager Retires

As a disappointing 2061 season ended and the locker room was getting closed down for the offseason, Stars’ manager Omar Sosa was sitting in his office wondering where things went wrong.

After a 75-87 season in 2059 during Greathouse’s first year in Valencia, Omar was brought to Valencia to get the team over the hump. The team improved by 4 games in 2060 to finish at 79-83 and being in the hunt for the playoffs until a subpar September derailed those expectations.

After 2060, the Stars’ front office spent a buttload of cash bring in 4 free agents in hopes of a playoff berth in 2061 only to have the offense go AWOL after the first three weeks of the season and finish at 74-88.

Omar had 7 years on the coaching side of the baselines. Omar’s ratings were adequate for a manager as seen below:

At this point, the Valencia front office is feverishly looking for Omar’s successor.

As Omar packed his things into the last few boxes in the office, the 66 year-old left nothing on his desk but a resignation letter stating his retirement and a painting of a Bluebird flying over Sacramento and crapping all over a Pope in October.
