Valencia Stars Report: Injuries ? # 2

Well the season hasnt even started yet and already the Stars have got hit by the injury bug big time...The Stars this off season was looking to improve there hitting which they did but right away the Stars biggest offense producer last season will miss this year...Outfielder Jonathan Armas who hit .296 with 22 homeruns and 70 Rbi's was Injured with a ruptured medial collateral ligament,and will miss out for 9 months. With the trade for Outfielder Lon Hoch it would of given Armas more RBI chances this season as Hoch is an OBP machine..

Also vet outfielder Jimmy Slizz will miss the first month as he went down with a sprain ankle...Slizz 34 the Stars feel he still can contribute as a solid offense guy and gives the Stars much needed speed on the base paths....

Relief Pitcher Tom Jimerson will miss most of the season with a torn labrum [Shoulder]..Jimerson looked good last season as he went 4-3 with 4 saves and in 71 innings he had 78 k's....

yeah the injury to Armas is extreme and unfortunate.
its gotten overlooked despite its severity
