The Stars offense did well this year but not as good as the pitching did...The Stars team hitting was .256, 10th overall as the Bobwhites had a .270 team batting average...Some other offensive comparisons: Bobwhites On-Base Percentage .328 vs the Stars .302 , Bobwhites Slugging Percentage .423 vs the Stars .392 , Runs Scored 769 for the Bobwhites vs the Stars 674 , Hits for the Bobwhites 1,500 vs for the Stars 1413 , and Home Runs for the Bobwhites 165 vs the Stars 153..So it looks like the Bobwhites have a slight edge on the offensive side and the Stars have a slight edge on the pitching side...
2B Caleb Boyette .262 14 65 will miss all of these and could be out the rest of the year too..The Stars offense were lead by outfielder
Gary Barr .298 22 75, outfielder DeMario Davis .280 26 85 and 1B Steve Rossi .269 28 98....Outfielder Bo Jackson added in 26 homers and 84 Rbis and leadoff hitter and SS Dan 'Little Dude' Wachowski had 194 hits and hit .283...Hopefully the pitching will hold up and the Stars can get some timly hitting to take the series...Its going to a very close series, maybe 7 games....

Two 2nd generation MBBA'ers here in Caleb Boyette (son of Poke "The Albatross" Boyette) and "Little Dude" Wachowski (son of Jeff "The Dude" Wachowski, who is still active and a free agent...ping: bornac.....and his picture needs to be changed big time).

Bo's numbers fit right in with what we would have expected MLB style.
