The Stars started April slow but ended up on the winning track by the end of April...The Stars 14-12 in April went on a 7-0 run and ended up 8-2 over the last 10 games...
On the offensive side there really is not one standout guy on the team so far...Every night someone seems to step it up for the Stars...Outfielder Jonathan Armas leads the team with 5 homers and 18 Rbis...Armas has a .266 batting average and was moved at the beginning of the season to the 3rd spot in the lineup which has been a good move...
So far the trade to get SS George Bellairs has been good so far...Bellairs is hitting .253 and has 22 hits, 4 of them doubles, 1 Triples and 4 homers through April...Bellairs 16 Rbi's is second on the team...Also Bellairs K's are still high with 26 for the month...
2B Mack Randall is off to a nice start...Randall has 3 homers and 11 Rbi's and a OBP of .371 in April...Randall 3 homers now gives him a career of 305 homeruns....
1B Hector Ruiz who came to the Stars in a trade with Marquette Suns ended up with a very good April...Ruiz hit .296 2 homers, 3 doubles and drove in 7 Rbi's in April...Ruiz who never has had more than 89 AB is making the best of his new sitution...The Stars hope the 26 year old 1B can continue to keep hitting the way he has in April....

Good to see Ruiz hitting well, and his defensive ratings haven't translated in to terrible play in the field either!
