John Oloughlin is starting very slow with a
6.40 era...Oloughlin has allowed 19 hits in 12 innings...Deshawn Pines has not impressed anyone so far...In 7 innings he does have 9 k's but he has allowed 12 hits and 7 walks so far...
The starting pitching should get better...The combined era for the starters is 4.48 which is 5th overall...SP Jim Seddon has 4 wins so far but has 4 losses too..His era is 3.64 which is pretty good so far...Seldon won 18 games last year for the Stars and is on the same pace again...
SP Devon Hyngary started off great in April going 3-3 anin 45 innings had 65 k's with a 3.55 era...May is a different story so far, In 9 innings he has 13 k's but his ERA is 11.00 in his first two starts...Over his last 3 starts Hyngary 0-3, 13.12, The Stars need Hyngary to settle down and get back to his form like in April... Hyngary 78 k's lead the league so far this season...
2B Mack Randall has been impressive so far...Randall is hitting .314 with 38 hits, 6 doubles, 7 homeruns and has drove in 20 runs....In April he hit 6 of his homeruns....Randall is doing what the Stars needed adding more power to there offense...The Stars offense is 3rd overall in scored runs, so the pitching needs to come around soon before they fall to far behind....
