The Stars even with having a terrible year 44-45 are still in a battle for first place...Vancouver 45 wins, and California 44 wins are fighting it out for first place in the JL Pacific...

The Stars offense has been horrible this season but there was few bright moments over the last few weeks.
1B Gary Knowles goes 6-6 against the Atlantic City Gamblers, with 1 2B, 2 RBI and 3 R..The 6 hits were a personal best for Knowles...Then a week later Knowles goes 4-6 against the Hawaii Tropics, with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored, and also had a game a few days later he hits 2 home runs against the Hawaii Tropics, going 2-4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Overall in June Knowles hit .343, 7 doubles, 3 homers, 14 RBI'S and had a .920 OPS...Knowles this season is now hitting .283 15 50 Rbis...

All Star Catcher Jason Dunn had a great June to...Dunn who was selected to the All Star team in June hit .315 10 homers 20 RBIS with a OPS 1.061.. Dunn started slow this year but June really gave him a boost for the year...Overall Dunn is hitting .272 22 homers and 61 RBIS...

Closer Skip Glendenning was selected to the All Star team this season...Glendenning is having another outstanding year with a 1.41 ERA, 26 saves on a team with 44 wins, and 47 K's in 38 innings....
