Valencia Stars Report: Playoffs # 10

Post by leejay56 » Sun Nov 02, 2014 11:23 pm

The Stars ended up with one of there best seasons with 95 wins...This years team was not like the power house Valencia teams in the past...This years team was a scrappy team that got on base and scored runs and had solid pitching and defense...

The Stars went to play a solid team Louisville Sluggers and had a very good series winning 4-1.. A team with little power the Stars did manage 6 homers in the 5 games...SS Kevin Minuso hit .412 in the series...

Also catcher Jason Dunn lead the team with 4 rbi's but had a .238 batting average...

SP Sheng Yen picked up 2 wins in 12 innings and had 12Ks....Julian Anderson, Mike Boggie and Brian Middleton all had wins too...

Next Series will be very difficult vs the power hitting Halifax Hawks and one of the best SP Steve Hoffman...

Can't wait bud. This will be a fun one. A key to a Stars win means a ton of walks. The JLs best team at drawing walks is facing a JL team that gave up the most walks in the division.
