Valencia Stars Report: Off Season # 1

The Stars have had a quiet off season...They needed some more RP pitching and they did add another pitcher... So the Stars head into 2016 with pretty much the same team...The big decision what 27 will make the roster...

Two Stars left for free agency this season....Long time Star outfielder Yi-lin She...She started with the Stars back in 2004, but became a full time outfielder in 2006 and had a great rookie season as he hit 37 homeruns and drove in 93 runs....She had a very good career with the Stars as he ended up with 278 homeruns and 799 RBI's....In 2007 She made the All-Star team with a .252 34 homers 103 RBI season...

Closer Donald Long..Long came to the Stars via wavier wire pick up in 2007...Long last 3 years he did fantastic saving 94 games and last year had a low 1.54 era...Long will be missed but at 36 it was too much a long term gamble for the Stars,,,
