SP Devon Hyngary already has 11 wins this season and could have 20 by the end of the year...So far this season the 24 yr old is 11-5 3.00 era in a 165 innings pitched....Hyngary also has 174 k's so far this season..When he hits 200 ks it will be his 4th year in a roll and his highest was 280 in 1995..
SP Phil Leftwich has a 1.96 era over the last 3 games for the Stars...Leftwich is having a very good year so far going 9-4, 2.48 in 141 innings...Leftwich comong off a 14 win season last year should top that and hit or past his high of 16 wins a few years ago...
MR/SP Jan Starr has to be one of the hottest pitchers...Over the last 33 games Starr is 6-0 with a 0.88 era,,and overall he is 8-2, 2.00 era....
Rookie 3B Jose Acaron was called up to had some more offense to the Stars line up...In his first 14 games
Acaron has added 4 doubles, 1 triple and 2 homers...Not a bad start for the rookie....
1B Edwin Pyburn is a hitting machine so far this season...Pyburn is hitting .355 21 doubles, 13 homers and drove in 52 runs...Pyburn hit .294 last season for the Stars in his first full year....
