The Hawaii Tropics selected Mexico City Aztecs reliever Reynaldo Trinidad in the 1st round (10th overall pick) of the Rule 5 Draft. Trinidad was a starter with the AA Parker Pilots in 2061 making 29 starts going 10-10 with a 3.85 ERA. He has a three-pitch mix of a middling fastball, change and cutter sitting on the radar gun at 93-95 mph. Trinidad has 5 stuff but has 7 movement to go with an 8 HRA.
