Hawaii 9-10 in May after 9-17 April

Dave Reilly,
7 years with Stars
Dave Reilly has hit in 15 straight games and in 17 of his last 20, raising his BA from
.100 to .279 since the 33-year-old former Valencia Stars first baseman was acquired
off waivers. Reilly is slugging .477 and has an OBP of .373.
His most dramatic hit was a two-run, come-from-behind homer in the ninth inning at
Louisville, the wuss team. Louisville also walked Reilly thrice in that game.
Reilly is platooning with Joe Sullivan at first base. Both men hit home runs in the sixth
inning off of Omaha's Vicente Martínez in a game Hawaii dropped, 8-7. The Tropics took
the series, 2 games to 1.

Resurrection Santos,
in Baltimore garb
RF Resurrection Santos has hit .295 in 10 games for Hawaii, after hitting .294 in 12 games
for Baltimore, which waived the renown 31-year-old slugger.
Santos, who has 225 home runs, is a stellar defense man. He is expected to man RF until
Liao Kuan returns from the DL in 6 weeks; Liao could move to LF at that time.
The normal second-base combo of Cullison (2b) and Sims (ss) is now together, since
Cullison became the latest Hawaiian to clamber off the DL.
After a 10-game rehab, Cully has hit .342 in 10 games.
Sims is batting .250 in 33 games but slugging .417 and his glove is a black hole at short.
31-year-old catcher Bob Henley hit .282, filling in for Hurley Reyes.
